- I'm a 33-year-old mom to two goofy, lovely girls. I've always wanted to start a journal for them, but can't seem to put pen to paper at the end of each day. With this blog, I'm glad to have a record of our lives when they were little. Berit, 5, and Marta, 3, allow Daddy Trevor and me to shower them with affection at our home in Petoskey. This space will also be a place of reflection during our adoption over the coming year. What a beautiful journey!

What a fun party! The gym mats look like an absolute riot! I especially love all the green stuff you had for Berit since she loved it so much :o) Any luck during the night with Marta? Would it help to maybe have Berit do a sleepover with Grandma for the weekend so Marta doesn't wake her up while you give it a good go for a couple days? Better yet, maybe you could join Berit for 1 of the nights so you don't have to feel terrible listening while Trev tries to work his magic... hehe :o) What hotel did you decide in for your overnight in GR?
